Guess what I did last night? Watching an Adobe Illustrator Tutorial on Skillshare and creating patterns afterwards. I ended up having a number of new geometric designs and an even more mosquito bites (I´m still on vacation on corfu island …). Damn screen light ;o).
Anyhow, here are two of my new designs. You can also find them on my Pinterest board »Pattern | Geometric«. If you are interested in patterns, you´ll find some further inspiration boards for patterns and colors! (I´ve been reorganising my boards recently.)
And here´s the great Skillshare Tutorial with tips & tricks to speed up your workflow! (It´s always interesting to see how other designers work ;o)) Mastering Illustrator: 10 Tips & Tricks to Speed Up Your Workflow von DKNG Studios.
Biking, feeling the wind in your hair and watching the scenery go by. Simply amazing and a perfect way to discover new places.
Yesterday C. and I went to Sinarádes, a charming village with a lovely, little folklore museum. I love museums and could have spent the whole day scribbling in my sketch book and taking pictures of old houses.
Here you´ll find some impressions!
And here´s my first creative output: Color Palette »Corfu Tones«
Have you ever asked yourself why some pinners have thousands of followers or pins, that go viral? For all of you, who want to reveal the secret of all the successful pinterest ladies and gents, here´s the answer: You just have to know how. That may sound very logical, but I admit, that I thought that actually pinners with better boards have more followers than all the others.
That´s not true. It´s all about knowledge. There are just a few things you should know. Where I got the information? From a tremendously helpful tutorial that I discovered a few days ago. You´ll find the link in the text below.
On the image above you can see a screenshot of some old pins of mine. I guess they will never be repinned except one: The holiday planner pin. Why?
Here some PINTEREST-SECRETS!
1) One winning headline that will turn a browser into a buyer: »Want x? Try this!«
2) A good place for a headline: At the top of your image (The Topper)
3) Portrait format is better than landscape format. Try 735 x 1102px!
By the way. You don´t have to be a graphic designer to create good layouts: Check out https://www.picmonkey.com/ – a free online image editing tool.
4) Your text should invite the reader to click on your link to your website, blog etc.
5) Don´t forget to set a link to your website.

Summertime is vacation time. Time for sunbathing, swimming, city trips, hiking, tidying the house, sitting in the garden and having barbecue, meeting friends and … what else?
As for me, I have tons of plans for my holidays. To maintain a clear overview, I decided to create a vacation planner. Which of course I gladly share with you! If you are as much into to-do-lists as I am, then just download the planner here.
For all of you, who are curious about my first entries:
:: do yoga every day
:: read books
:: start crocheting a granny square-blanket
By the way, the ice cream colors of the planner where inspired by my dishrag.
I wish you a nice holiday and enjoy planning!
